Prioritize YOU

Updated: Apr 3, 2020

To Self-care is a MUST. It is not selfish or self-absorbed. It's a mattter of slowing down, taking a break to reboot. It's time to shift into a new paradigm of thinking. It's not about indulgence but rather safeguarding and sustenance. Self-care is vitally important! It is LOVE. No one needs to give you permission to make time for yourself. Put yourself on the calendar! Set a specific date and time to get clarity, be refreshed and refueled. It has nothing to do with having the time but rather making it a definite priority. Too many times as women we put ourselves last with all the roles we play. We must remember to put our own oxygen mask on first.

As a busy, homeschooling mom of 5 kiddos, I learned this lesson the hard way. As a result of burnout I discovered that not making time for myself was causing more harm than good and was a detriment to my overall productivity. My effectiveness in: business, schooling, service in ministry, relationships all were negatively impacted. I wasn't able to show up powerfully for those I love and care about most because I neglected to care for myself.

If left unattended to, feelings of resentment, frustration and overwhelm can arise and consume you like a tidal wave. We should always honor ourselves through self-care and overall wellness.

There are tremendous benefits to self-care. You and your family or your business will reap the wonderful benefits of your self-care. Start with small steps until it becomes second nature.

Download our FREE 21 Day Self-care sheet here, and join our self-care challenge! There is a support system and tribe of women who are also embracing the self-care challenge in our private Facebook community here. You may join us on the journey. For the deeper challenge you can grab the journal here to complete at any time on your own or along with the videos in the group. It doesn't matter which day you start on, just begin. Now. See the difference it will make in your life. You'll be so glad you did and you can thank me later. Ha ha!
